Hey there french fries 🙂
I feel like it’s been a while since I posted. Ever since last Wednesday when I finished classes, I have been flat out with uni assessments. It never ends…
Today when I was picking out my outfit, I was a little hesitant to wear my usual white sneakers. I literally wear them every single day at some point.
Still wanted something casual though, so I had a look through my shoes and I grabbed my red Converse High-Tops that I got back when I was in year 8! Yes, they’re quite old. I remember how excited I was when I got them; I wore them almost every day. But ever since I got the white Low-Tops, I just forgot about them.

So for those of you out there who are into European films, the Greek Film Festival was on recently here in Melbourne (although I believe it was on in other cities in Australia as well).
Sadly, like every other year, I wasn’t able to go because of assessments. However, I did watch a couple of the movies at home in my own time.
The two movies that I really wanted to watch were What If... (Av...) and ALPS (`Αλπεις).
The movie ALPS was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos who has also directed the films Dogtooth and The Lobster. Since I had already seen and enjoyed those two, I was very keen to check out ALPS. The style of the film is very similar to Dogtooth. The movie is centred around a service for hire company called Alps where the employees will step in for dead people on appointment when hired by the loved ones of the deceased.
The second movie I watched was What If… directed by Christopher Papakaliatis. If you’ve ever seen or heard about the movie Sliding Doors, this movie takes the same concept but based on the life of a Greek man living in Athens. This movie explores the impact that every little moment can have on the outcome of our lives.
I’m off now to continue with my exam prep.
Talk soon chicos xx
